Baby Girl at 31 Weeks

31 Weeks... thirty-one weeks... 3-1 weeks... what?! Craziness!!!! Most of the time I feel like this pregnancy is dragging, but today it hit me... it's kind of flying by. And, I couldn't be happier. I just can't wait to meet this little one!!!

Major Milestones:

• Baby weighs about 3.5 pounds and measures at 16.5 inches.


• Eyes are completely opened and will react to darkness and light.


• Lungs and intestines are near maturity.


• Major organs are functioning and working to get even stronger.

How's mama doing? Maternity clothes? Yep... tops are officially waaaayyy too short! Movement? Her movements are more like rolling and pushing than kicks and pokes. I think she is starting to run out of room. Stretch marks? Oh gosh... My lone tummy stretch mark has decided to invite about four other friends to the party. Ugh! Sleep? What's that? Not sure I know this "sleep" you speak of. Symptoms? I'm getting pretty tired lately, but that may be caused by the aforementioned lack of sleep. Food aversions? Still not a huge fan of Mexican food or heavy desserts. Food cravings? Nice hearty balanced meals and, oh yea... still lemonade, lemonade, lemonade! Labor signs? Naw! What I miss? I always start this off with "I wouldn't trade this for anything" because I truly would not, but being able to cut my own toenails would be nice... I can cut them but not without losing all ability to breath. haha. Best moment of this week? When J referred to my new stretch marks as Mommy scars... as if they are a badge of honor. He's too sweet!
