Outside Time

This beautiful weather has been amazing!!! That teamed with Zoey's love for being outside, means we have been spending so much time outside everyday.  Jerrod worked hard on our yard to get it all ready for Zoey during the outside months.  I have so enjoyed this time as a family.  We drag a huge blanket outside in the backyard, grab a bag of fruit, cups of water and spend hours out there talking, playing, drawing chalk on the fence or on the house, playing in the sandbox (that was mine and my sister's when we were little).  These moments have been so joyful and fun... most of the time.  I'm going to keep it real... one day Zoey wasn't having being in the backyard, she got mad, threw grapes, yelled and then got over it.  Tis life with a toddler.

But all in all... these have been some of my favorite moments.  These are the moments I remember so vividly as a kid... the everyday stuff - just playing outside, riding four-wheelers, playing in the water hose, making mud pies, cutting trails in the woods with my sister, etc.

I just love my family and feel so blessed to make memories like that with them.. :)

Zoey has such an imagination.  She made the lid to her sandbox a bed, a trampoline and a slide.  Such a fun kid!

She loves having Dada bury her feet with sand.

Our yard has a slight slope to it and Zoey has figured that out.  She will focus really hard to push her little legs and make her car roll fast down the "hill."

Then take the box of Cheezits while Mommy and Dada are chatting and not paying attention, pour them all over the blanket and pig out.

So beautiful.

"And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears. And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there, With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair."

May I say, there's not much more I'd like to do right right now than sprawl out on a blanket and eat Cheez-Its with that adorable Zoey Bug. (And of course hang with her supercool mom, too)

Aw please go visit your parents... don't they miss you??? Not that my plea for your parents has anything to do with the fact that you pass through my neck of the woods. ;) Miss you!!!
