Don't Wake the Baby

My my... how life has changed. With a four-month-old in the house nap time has become quite a challenge. Zoey used to nap for hours on end, but I guess she's just become more aware of her surroundings lately because every little noise wakes her up. I have caught myself doing things that a fly on the wall would get a huge kick out of. In the past month I may or may not have...

... crawled across Zoey's nursery floor.

... removed all the dogs' collars just in case they shake the tags.

... gotten into a habit of stopping the microwave one second short of the buzzer going off.

... kept my phone on vibrate for most of the day.

... put our dogs outside when I spot the mail man coming down the road or when it's about 5 p.m. and traffic increases... heck, I've practically ostracized my dogs. Poor things.

And, yes. I do use a sound machine in her room and keep the television going. What can I say, desperate times call for desperate measures and this mama has been desperate for just a few quiet moments here lately.
