I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did. Getting to celebrate with our own little bundle of joy made this Christmas sooo much more meaningful and special than any Christmas's before.
We started off Christmas Eve with my immediate family eating breakfast and trading gifts. Then, my parents took Z to Union Springs where my extended family lives, and I got to take a hot bath and get ready to head that way myself. Unfortunately J couldn't join us, but he was doing something much more important... getting ready for the evening's Christmas Eve services at church. So, I headed to USA (Union Springs, Ala. for those who aren't up with the hip slang... haha) where we ate some insanely delicious food and goofed off with family. Even Zoey got in on the fun...

Later that day, we traded gifts and I headed back to the Gump where I took Zoey to her first Christmas Eve candlelight service. Although she had no idea what was going on, it was so special celebrating the true meaning of Christmas with her. I am excited to make this part of our own family tradition. I think it will be so awesome for her to see her daddy worshiping the Newborn King on His birthday. Here was the killer opening to an incredibly moving service (be sure to at least watch about three minutes in)...
Then we closed out the Christmas Eve activities with a late dinner at J's paternal grandparent's house.
And we still weren't done... Christmas morning we went to church and then headed to a late lunch with J's maternal grandmother and that side of the family. We played games and ate even more delicious food. Finally we finished off the day at J's parent's house with a bowl full of Santa Fe soup and some gift trading.
This was by far my most favorite Christmas yet!
