Phew!
After hours and hours and hours of sanding and sanding and sanding and sanding...
And then, priming and sanding and priming and sanding...
And then, painting...
We are finally done.
Never again. That's all I have to say about that. This was the biggest project. All you ladies, and gentlemen, that enjoying refinishing furniture... bless you.
I'm really glad we did it b/c it definitely confirmed that refinishing furniture is not a potential hobby of mine. No thank you.
So without further ado... here is a glimpse into our labor of love:
Here is a glimpse of the furniture before we started to sand it. It was already beautiful. The wood finish just wasn't going to work in the room.
Here are a few shots of the crib as it was being sanded. Come to find out we didn't need to quite sand it to the extent that we did... oh well.
After sanding, we applied a coat of gripper. This stuff made our final coats of paint stick like nobody's business. I tried to scratch off the paint with my fingernail, and it wouldn't budge.
Here are pictures of the final product. We spray painted the furniture with white gloss paint. Spray painting was the way to go!!! No runs!
