Blah

In an attempt to be a better blogger, I am going to force this blog of which I have not good news. I think sometimes my posts come across as ranting and cynical. I'm afraid this one is not going to be much better. Here are a few of my downer moments from this weekend:

• Alabama lost. :( I'm really bummed but had a feeling this season wasn't going to go as well as last season. Still... Roll Tide Roll!
• We started to make some minor improvements to the outside of our house. There are not very many things that need to be done but we did want to upgrade the shutters and the door. Bad news is our door did not want to be painted. And the paint did not like the door. It was a mutual decision. Neither wanted to be joined together. Basically here's what happened: We painted the door, the paint peeled off, we sanded the door, cleaned the door, primed the door, sanded the door, painted the door... the paint is still not doing as well as we would like but it is gradually beginning to like the door. As of this morning, it didn't seem like it would just peel right off. Our decision: put on the hardware and put up the door. I will hopefully have a blog just about our door drama in the near future.
• My fridge is already coming apart. Okay... slight exaggeration. The front part where you select "ice," "water," "chopped ice" or "beer" (just kidding) is peeling off. The great news is that they offered to go ahead and replace the entire fridge. Yay!

On a positive note... we really are loving the house. It is one of the few times I have not had buyers remorse. I thought I would have the worst case ever, but we really prayed over this decision and feel very comfortable where we are. The Lord has blessed us beyond what we deserve!
