Does Coosa Need a Brother or Sister?

Jerrod and I are pretty much settled into our new jobs. Therefore, Coosa is officially home by himself around eight hours a day. He has started to show out because of what I am guessing to be lack of attention and playtime. By showing out I mean pulling stuff out of the trash and tearing it to shreds, finding my yard that I was crocheting with and stretching it all around the living room.

We have had several people in the past state, "You buy one dog, you buy two." I guess the meaning of that statement being that dogs don't do well alone. I'm beginning to think Coosa is one of those dogs. He is very social and playful. He requires a good bit of attention, but more than anything he likes to be worked hard. He is a breed of hunting dog, so it is in there nature, I guess, to be worked out a lot.

So what do y'all think of us getting another dog? I mean we are completely in the thinking about this stage. We still have to talk it over with our landlords and all that jazz, but what do y'all think? What are the pros and cons?

Don't do it! That's why we got Meg- we were told that Kirby needed a playmate. For us it means twice the headaches, twice the mess, twice the dog food, vet bills, boarding costs, etc..... We will always stick to one from now on, but that's just us. :-)
