Blame It On the English Peas

Last Thursday night I actually cooked. I mean it was peas, but still, I cooked them. I do not cook often. When you have a husband that isn't home up to 5 nights out of the week then you wouldn't cook either. Anyways...

A few hours later I decided to go hang out with a few friends from church. Jerrod decided to stay home (Thank the Lord... you'll see why later). About 11pm I get a text from Jerrod. It stated, "Did you leave the oven on by accident or are you trying to kill me?" Suddenly my mind started rushing... did I cut it off? Surely I did! Oh wait maybe I didn't?

Either way doesn't really matter. Jerrod left to get some tacos for dinner and when he came back to the house he said he could smell gas from the driveway. When he realized he had left the dogs inside, he says he rushed in to put them outside but they were already getting sick. They had accidents in the house (which is apparently a sign that your body is being poisoned... SCARY!). Needless to say, Jerrod rushed the dogs outside, opened all the windows that were not painted shut, opened the doors and had the fans running by the time I got home.
When I did arrive home everyone was outside, and I could still smell the gas in the driveway. Good thing we aren't smokers because boy would that have been a big blow! The gas eventually started to make us sick, so we decided that it wouldn't be a good idea to sleep inside. Yep, we decided to sleep outside.

I do not camp! I do not sleep on the ground. I hate bugs. I love all furry creatures, but I absolutely hate bugs. However, my wonderful husband bug proofed the tent, or at least he convinced me that he did. We made a rather comfy pallet and camped out in the tent on a Thursday night with Coosa, Piper and all the other creatures.

Abby! I'm so glad everything worked out and no one got terribly sick (or 'sploded in a fiery inferno). But seriously, camping? Girl, if you ever have an emergency like this again and need a place to sleep, PLEASE call us. We have a (bug-free) guest room and a big old dog friendly yard. Silly girl (and boy)!
