Rambling Not Read-Worthy

I have gotten a lot done today. A lot of cleaning, clothes washing and organizing. I even cleaned the floor underneath the bed, figured out what I was going to wear at work this week, and tried to chase down the dog to trim his nails. Therefore, I have decided I need a hobby. Preferably an affordable one... I know that all of my friends reading this with kids or working on midterms are rolling their eyes right now, but I really feel like I need to do something. I don't do well with idle time. Never have. Just ask my mom and my husband.

I never realized how much I loved to learn until I finished my Master's and went into the real world. I know this may sound silly, but my brain feels like it is hungry for something. I don't really like to read and I definitely don't want to voluntarily write a paper. I want to design something or create something. I use to paint a good bit. I would go to Hobby Lobby and get a bird house or a canvas to paint or a jewelry box to cover with fabric. I guess I should get back to that. I love taking pictures but am rarely home to enjoy natural light (which I prefer). When you are married to a husband that has 100 hobbies you begin to wonder what is so wrong with you that you have nothing to teach yourself at the moment.

Anyone have any fun ideas? I even resorted to google-ing charity events in the Montgomery area. Do you have a favorite charity event coming up? Can I tag along? Anyone want a painted birdhouse? You see, there was always something going on in Tuscaloosa. Since I was there for 5 years I grew accustomed to the whole... "Hey [insert friend's name here]. You bored? Want to go hear a band play, watch the girls gymnastics team kick butt, or just chill at Capture and down some BBQ nachos?" What is there to do in Montgomery exactly? If my hubby isn't playing his guitar or kayaking then he's working, so he is no help. Is it just me or do you either need to be in High School or have children to have a "crowd" to run with around here?

Always things to do in Tuscaloosa... and Birmingham...

...when you find something going on in Montgomery, let me know! And by Montgomery, I mean IN Montgomery... not "oh.. it's just in BIRMINGHAM, we'll drive 2 HOURS!". What???

Yeah, those "oh it's just 2 hours away" definitely don't count. Same goes for you! We'll keep an eye out for each other... although I have a feeling it's going to be a long time looking.

Hrm...A hobby. Well--You know I like to crochet :) I can teach you how to do a granny square and make a blanket!

On the other hand, last night I totally dreamed you told me you were pregnant. Now, that would be a hobby that would last 18 years minimum! Lurv you!

I think I'll have to pick the crocheting. It was a tough decision but I think I'm a little more for needle and yarn. Please teach me!
