MAD Mix Vol. 1

I miss my two best friends (or in Dana's words "beh-fri's") from college so very much. We would carry on complete conversations using quotes from The Office. It was awesome! I miss our quirkiness and randomness. Despite my awkward sense of humor and inability to be quiet for longer than 5 minutes or sit still for longer than 2 seconds, they still loved me because they are exactly the same (hehe!).

So in order to keep up that connection between us while living in different places, we have come up with the most fabulous, wonderful, magnificent, ingenious idea. We are making "MAD Mixes" every month.

Each one of us is assigned 4 months out of the year. On your assigned month, you compile whatever you want on a cd/dvd. It could be songs, movie clips, a movie burnt to a dvd, a video of you doing the "Single Ladies" dance, anything you can think of. Well, February is my month. I have decided to compile a list of 20 songs that have reminded me of them for one reason or another. Most are completely random, some seem like a song we would play 50 times in a day and others just remind me of our fun times together.

I have decided to list the songs below. I am a little late mailing the MAD Mix so this way they will get a teaser. Also, those of you (if there are any) who read my blog, besides Dana and Mellie, are welcome to make a Mix with these exact songs. However, I will warn you, this list has no particular purpose. It is all about randomness because its so much more fun that way! Don't you think! So... enjoy all my readers who respect randomness. Occasional bursts into song, unique sound affects or sporadic dance moves are not only welcome but encouraged!

I lived with 5 other girls in college and when we graduated we went to so many different places in the country. We bought a little tiny book and one person would put a picture of themselves in it and write a page about that they were doing, and then they would mail it to the next girl. By the time all 6 of us had filled up the book, 5 years had gone by. We love having that book now and bust it out at our reunions. I love what you are doing. You will cherish those CD's/DVD's one day.

wow! how fun! what a great idea. I, myself am so right there with you on the randomness and quirkiness. Although, Abby, I will have to admit, I have never heard of any of those songs. hehe!

That is a great idea Lauren!

Keri, I am sure you know more of those songs than you think. For instance, "Escape" is the Pina Coloda Song, "Beautiful Life" is on one of the TLC commercials with the Gosselin family, and "Anyone Else But You" is from Juno. Give them a try! They are all awesome. If any try Jimmy Needham, he is an amazing Christian artist! YAY FOR RANDOMNESS!
