Zoey's 1st Bday Party

I can not believe I am posting about Zoey's first bday party!!!  Where in the world has the time gone?  I could get into all the mushy stuff but I will save that for her actual birthday which is this Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 5:34 p.m. to be exact.

For the purposes of this post, I will focus solely on Zoey's actual birthday party...

To say I had a blast planning Zoey's first Bday party would be a total understatement.  I went way overboard I'm sure but I enjoyed every minute of it.  I let my Pinterest obsession get the best of me... from tissue-paper pom-pom's, to pinwheels, to banners galore... you name it I either attempted it, accomplished it or considered it.

I settled on a "You Are My Sunshine" themed birthday party after seeing a print designed by my super-talented friend, Courtnie (see her Etsy shop: here). She then designed an invite for Zoey's party based on that print as you can see here:

Then from there I started pinning "You Are My Sunshine" parties on Pinterest.  I decided to do mostly yellows and pinks because I felt like those sweet, bright colors best fit Z's personality.

We kept the party fairly simple as far as guest list and only invited Z's closest family members and our best couple friends.

Zoey was totally spoiled with lots and lots of toys and even more hugs from her family who loves her so so much!
