Baby Girl at 29 Weeks

We have a new food.... Squash!

So apparently The Bump thinks that's a squash. I'm sure it is, but where I'm from this is what a squash look like:

And, I know my baby is bigger than that! So we will go with that pumpkin-looking squash. We will be stuck with the pumpkin-looking squash until week 32. The Bump says that the baby is between 15.2 inches to 16.7 inches long and weighs from 2.5 to 3.8 pounds.

Major Milestones:

  • The baby can taste and respond to pain.

  • Eyes may be able to follow a blinking light.

  • This is when movement decreases b/c she is running out of room, but when she does move it is much more forceful.

  • Baby's eyes are almost always blue at this stage and can distinguish between sunlight or artificial light.

How's Mama Doing? Maternity Clothes? Oh yes! Movement? It seems to have slowed down a bit, which I do not like. It makes me paranoid. Stretch marks? Still just the little ones on my far sides... in addition to the ones I already had. Sleep? A bit of a challenge getting comfortable lately, but onces I'm out, buddy I'm out. Symptoms? I'm mostly just tired all the time and the swelling has started... oh my poor hands and feet. Food aversions? Heavy desserts mostly. Food cravings? Lemonade and Flip's cheeseburgers... yummmy! Labor signs? Nope! What I miss? Let me first say I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world, but I will say that I am carrying her kind of high so leaning over is a challenge. I feel like I can't breath and my head will explode. Best moment of this week? Watching my stomache move. I'm not to the part where you can see limbs moving across the tummy but when she gets to kicking it jolts my whole stomache.
