I hurt everywhere.

J and I recently started P90x. For those of you who do not know what P90x is... in the words of Tony Horton it is "the mother of all workouts." I finished up the first week today. I hurt everywhere. It hurts to laugh, cough, stand up, pick up things... it hurts to breath. Okay, that is exaggerating a little, but I am most definitely in pain. I'm pretty excited though. I can already see some results and can definitely feel a difference. The most difficult part has been the eating. I don't so much mind sweating, but when I can't have a cookie, I become a tad irritable (poor J). Tomorrow is my rest day. I don't think it necessarily says in the book that you are allowed a rest day from the diet but I'm doing it! For the sake of my sanity and marriage.

One thing I have noticed during these workout videos is that I don't handle yelling instructors very well. When Tony starts to yell, I get very very VERY irritated. It makes me want to spit nails and cuss. The other night J and I were doing the ab workout at the same time, and I abruptly muted the television. I just couldn't take one more of his "what you think you're working now... just wait another 10 minutes" talks. Even in high school I hated it when my coaches yelled at us. I am not motivated by barking... but apparently J is. He insisted I turn the volume back up. I reluctantly turned the volume back up.

Okay off my soap box...

Overall, I am enjoying... eh, not exactly... pleased... not quite.... dealing with the workout. I'm going to try my best to stick it out for the 90 days, as suggested by the program. Wish me luck!
