Israel, Veterans Day, Cyber-Shout out...

This coming Sunday, Nov. 15 is the big day... the day J leaves for his trip to Israel. I am continually blown away by the acts of kindness and generosity that have not only made this trip a possibility but an easy-peasy occasion. Despite our less than Ivanka Trump lifestyle, this trip to Israel has been incredibly easy on us, both emotionally and financially. We have not come a dime out of pocket. NOT A DIME... OR A NICKEL... OR A PENNY! We are truly humbled by the acts of our friends and those anonymous to us. We truly believe that the Lord has commanded Jerrod to take this trip. Talk about one green light right after the other. I am so excited to see the change and the fire that will be set inside of my husband as a result of this privilege.

Now, if I were to sit here and type about how peaceful I am then that would be a big fat nasty lie. I am surprisingly not worried about him actually being in Israel. It's the whole floating over the ocean for hours thing that makes me a little uneasy. That and the idea of being disconnected. I'm not sure when we will be able to talk. Even when we did the long distance relationship for approximately 5 years, I could always pick up the phone and hear his voice on the other line. This is different. I cannot imagine what people go through that have to deal with worries such as these everyday. These concerns make me completely rethink this day, Veterans Day. These families have to go months and months on end without being about to easily contact their loved ones. And, here I am worried about 10 days. I commend them for their sacrifice and am humbled by their selflessness. I feel silly for even voicing my worries about this trip, when they have to endure such emotions on a daily basis.

I would like to send out a cyber-shout out to all those who helped make this a possibility and who's prayers have truly been felt by both of us everyday. Please continue to pray for J's safe travels. My hope is that I will be able to blog everyday while J is gone. I will strive to keep you informed of where he is and what he is doing that day. Reading his itinerary has been thoroughly enjoyable for me, so I figured you may enjoy reading of his whereabouts and the significance of each location. Yes, this means I will actually be blogging on a regular basis... get excited!

Shalom Abby. Glad to read (at this, my first visit to your blog), that your J will be here in Israel soon. May it be a good time for you both.

Greetings from Jerusalem.
