Kung Coosa Pow Chicken and What Up Dawg Dungeon

Jerrod and I just arrived home from lunch with some church buddies. I had this spicy yan shan garlic chicken for the first time, but that is not what this blog is about. Today, I will introduce you all to my neighbors. I love my neighbors. Not because we are necessarily the best of friends or because we share a cup of sugar, but because they are just so dang interesting.

To our left we have the Jone's*. They are not your typical Jone's. They listen to rap music, have a recording studio in the basement they proudly refer to as "The Dungeon" and enjoy golf and growing grass (seriously, try stepping on his grass and he will curse you.) I really like them. We let our dogs have play dates and keep an eye out for each other. As a matter of fact, the man of the house went to high school with Jerrod.

To our right we have the Smith's*. They are Smith's from, shall I say, an Asian decent. They are very quiet, but enjoy a rowdy get together every once in a while. They enjoy shelling peas and eating dogs... Yep! I said it! I had always wondered until today. My suspicions have officially subsided.

Shortly after arriving home from lunch, Jerrod was yelling from the back of the house about kids in our yard. I heard Coosa barking, but didn't think anything about it. He sounded pretty upset though, and that combined with the presence of children could never be a good thing. I made my way outside to find a 10 year old boy poking at the fence with Coosa immediately on the other side meeting the adolescent with a firm bark and a tall Mohawk. I was about to scold Coosa when the small boy turned around and said, "You better be quiet or I will turn you into meat and eat you!" I didn't' know what to say. What do you say? I mean I had always wondered when a golden retriever would take up residence in their backyard for a few months, fatten up, and abruptly disappear. Well, its safe to say I no longer wonder. That little boy had definitely experienced the yummy taste of some Kung Knine Chicken with a side of Eggdrop soup. Ick!
So if you ever need us, you can find us between the Fo-shizzle bizzle Jone's and the Kung pow puppy luvin' Smith's.

*Names changed to protect the innocent and not so innocent.

We live in Forest Hills right down the street from Eastern Hills Baptist Church. Pretty calm neighborhood, not one you would think that houses dog eaters!
