2 Days and Counting

Today and tomorrow are my last days at Starbucks. I'm sad to leave. It is truly a great place to work. I have a great boss and great benefits. I work with a cast of co-workers worthy of their own reality show. There is never a dull moment. You are never standing there twiddling your thumbs. I get free drinks during shifts and a free pound of coffee every week. Wait, why am I leaving? Oh yea! I need a big girl job! That is not to say at all that working at Starbucks can not be a "big girl job". By "big girl job" I mean a job with normal hours and salary. I sincerely admire people who make positions such as these into careers. They have much more patience than I. As a parting gift, I am considering a post on proper drive-thru etiquette (had some super rude customers last night).

Quick Note: I added a few more pointers to the "Starbucks 101" post. After a 7 hour shift and a request from Amanda at http://www.themomjob.net/, I felt quite a bit inspired.

I think you should write your Starbucks Memoirs. Titled something like, "Life Behind the Green Apron." It would sell millions!

That is an awesome idea! I could be like that guy that wrote "Starbucks Saved My Life". I'd definitely have to put the story about the old man and the coffee I gave him in there.

The link is up! I love the new additions! Good luck with the "big girl job" stuff - what field are you in?

Well, my big girl job is not in anything I got my undergrad or grad degrees in, but I will be working for Wells Fargo Financial helping people get into more debt, or consolidate debt, or minimize debt, or dance around in debt...
