Resolve to Resolve

Normally, I am not one to set New Years Resolutions. It's just not my style. What I mean by that is that, it's not my style to set goals and stick to the path it takes to achieve those... it's more my style to default from those goals. Don't get me wrong! I admire those that can set year long goals and stick with it for 12 months, 9 months or heck even a few weeks. I just have a problem with sticking to a set of goals. I don't know why... do you?

Am I incapable?

incapable
Pronunciation: \(ˌ)in-ˈ-pə-bəl
1: lacking capacity, ability, or qualification for the purpose or end in view

No... that's not it.

Am I undedicated?

undedicated
Pronunciation: un-ded-i-cay-ted
1: not devoted to a particular purpose or cause

Well, not exactly.

Am I free spirited?

free spirited
Pronunciation: free_spi-rit-id
1: not restrained, as by convention or obligation

Quite possibly!

Despite what all my instincts tell me, I'm going to do it anyway. I'm going to set some goals for 2009. [gasp] I'm going to step out of my comfort zone and set those goals that could so easily transform into disappointment and guilt. Now there is something we need to get straight before I reveal my goals for this upcoming year... you are to never, and I do mean never point out if at any time you catch me breaking these goals. I'm already feeling enough pressure by setting these unreasonable expectations... I mean goals.

[deep breath]

Here we go...

1. Read the Bible everyday (more than reasonable and do-able)
2. Do not worry as much about what other people think (a must)
3. Daily step back and reflect on the blessings God has gifted in my life
4. Fight the urge to be shy in social situations and approach others more often
5. Lose 30 pounds (Hahahahaha..... Baaaaahahahahahaha)

So there they are! Now that wasn't so bad...

Reminds me that I have to set forth some resolutions. Yours look attainable for the un-incapable.
